Caramel and cinnamon popcorn with butter (unsalted), salt, cinnamon, unrefined dark muscovado sugar, bicarbonate of soda, vanilla extract, popcorn. To make this caramel and cinnamon popcorn for 6 persons you will need 20 mins for preparation and 30 mins for baking.
Ingredients
For the caramel
- 125g Butter (unsalted)
- ½tsp Salt
- 2tsp Cinnamon
- 230g Unrefined dark muscovado sugar
- ½tsp Bicarbonate of soda
- 1tsp Vanilla extract
For the popcorn
- 125g Popcorn
Directions
- Step 1Place your popcorn in a bowl and keep aside.

- Step 3To make the caramel melt the butter in a large pan until it begins to bubble.

- Step 4Add the salt, cinnamon and sugar stirring until the sugar dissolves and combines with the other ingredients.

- Step 5Lower the heat and leave to bubble gently for no more than 5 minutes.
- Step 6Remove from the heat and then quickly add the bicarbonate of soda and the vanilla extract.

- Step 7Stir quickly until combined and then pour over the popcorn.
- Step 8Mix together the popcorn and caramel until evenly coated.
- Step 9Pour the popcorn on to a baking tray, spreading out with a spoon and bake for 15-30 until crisp. Serve.
