Chocolate cherry cake with plain chocolate (70% cocoa), butter (unsalted), almonds (ground), self-raising white flour, egg(s) (free range), unrefined golden caster sugar, jam, cherries. To make this chocolate cherry cake for 10 persons you will need 25 mins for preparation and 25 mins for baking.



  1. Step 1Preheat oven to 180°C (gas mark 4). Line a 20cm cake tin with baking paper.
  2. Step 2Place chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Melt, then cool and stir in ground almonds and flour.

  5. Step 5Remove from the oven, allow to cook in the tin then transfer to a wire rack. Spread with warm cherry jam and top with fresh cherries.
