Hot tomato chutney with onion(s), garlic clove(s), red chilli, olive oil, tomato purée, cherry tomatoes, white wine vinegar, unrefined demerara sugar, salt, pepper. To make this hot tomato chutney for 2 persons you will need 25 mins for preparation and 55 mins for baking.



  1. Step 1Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic, de-seed and finely chop the chilli.

  2. Step 2Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add the onion, cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Add the chopped garlic and chilli and cook uncovered for a further 1 minute.

  3. Step 3Add all remaining ingredients. Heat gently, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil, then simmer uncovered, for about 45-55 minutes until the liquid has reduced and the chutney is a thick pulpy consistency.
