Pears bordelaise with red bordeaux wine, sugar, peeled whole pears, jar apple jelly.


  • 1 cup red Bordeaux wine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 peeled whole pears
  • 1 jar apple jelly

  1. Step 1 Put wine and sugar in a pan and bring to a boil. When sugar has melted and syrup is well blended, add pears and poach them gently, spooning the liquid over them.
