Pizza Dough Recipe

Pizza dough with all purpose flour, sugar, salt, olive oil.

Espresso chocolate chunk:

  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped semisweet chocolate
  • 2 tsp. espresso powder

  • 3 tbsps. fudge sauce

Directions

  1. Step 1 Pour 3/4 cup warm water into small bowl; stir in yeast. Let stand until yeast dissolves, about 5 minutes.
  2. Step 2 Brush large bowl lightly with olive oil. Mix 2 cups flour, sugar, and salt in processor. Add yeast mixture and 3 tablespoons oil; process until dough forms a sticky ball.

  3. Step 3 Transfer to lightly floured surface. KNEAD dough until smooth, adding more flour by tablespoonfuls if dough is very sticky, about 1 minute.
  4. Step 4 Transfer to prepared bowl; turn dough in bowl to coat with oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let dough rise in warm draft-free area until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.

  1. Step 1 Brush large bowl with oil. Mix warm water and sugar in processor. Sprinkle yeast over; stir to dissolve.

Pizza dough with wrist-temperature water, package active dry yeast, of sugar, of salt, of olive oil, unbleached white flour, extra flour for kneading, cornmeal for the baking tray, toppings.

For starter

  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm milk or water
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour

For dough

  • Special equipment: a standing electric mixer with whisk and dough-hook attachments

For poaching marrow

  • Garnish: watercress sprigs

For Mornay sauce

  • Special equipment: an oval or wide round 5- to 6-qt heavy ovenproof pot; cheesecloth; kitchen string; an instant-read thermometer; 2 sealable plastic bags; an ovenproof platter
  • Accompaniments: boiled potatoes; haricots verts

To serve:

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. whole-grain mustard
  • 2 tsps. clover honey
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 4 oz. organic baby greens
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small white onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts, toasted

  • 8 center-cut pork chops, about 21/2 inches thick
  • Kosher salt and cracked black pepper
  • Granulated garlic, for seasoning

Pizza dough with strong white bread flour, salt, easy bake yeast sachet, unrefined golden caster sugar, water. To make this pizza dough for 4 persons you will need 1 hour for preparation and 8 mins for baking.

Ingredients

  • 500g Strong white bread flour
  • ½tsp Salt
  • 1 Easy bake yeast sachet
  • 2tsp Unrefined golden caster sugar
  • 325ml Water

Directions

  1. Step 1Put the flour and yeast and salt in a large bowl and mix together. Make a well in the centre of the mix.

    For this step you will need

  2. Step 2Stir the sugar into the warm water then add to the well in the centre of the dry mix.

    For this step you will need

  3. Step 3Work for the outer edge and mix all the dry ingredients into the water. When the mix has come together turn out on to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes. At this stage the dough should be soft and spring back when lightly touched.
  4. Step 4Flour the dough and cover with cling and leave to rest for about 15 minutes. If not baking immediately leave the dough wrapped in lightly oiled cling film and place in the fridge until you are ready to shape and bake.
  5. Step 5Divide the dough into 3 or 4 pieces depending on how many pizza bases you want to make.
  6. Step 6Taking one pieces at a time and roll out on a very lightly floured surface. Ideally the base should be 5mm thick but you can be creative on the shape. Place on a baking tray and leave the rolled bases for 15 to 30 minutes to rest. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 200C (fan 180 C, gas mark 6).
  7. Step 7When ready to bake add your desired topping and bake for 7 to 8 minutes and serve.
