Spaghetti with turkey meatballs and quick tomato sauce with spaghetti.



  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp red wine
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 shallot, peeled and halved
  • 1 tbsp butter, cut into 2 pcs.

Meat and vegetables

  • 4 extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large white onion, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 2 medium zucchini, trimmed and sliced 3/4 inch thick
  • 4 trimmed filets mignons or top-round steaks



  1. Step 1 Mix turkey, sausage, 4 tablespoons cheese, 2 tablespoons parsley, 2 garlic cloves, thyme, salt and pepper in medium bowl.

  2. Step 2 Using moistened hands, form mixture into 1-inch balls. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.

  3. Step 3 Add onion; sauté 5 minutes. Add 2 garlic cloves; stir 1 minute. Add tomatoes; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until sauce thickens slightly, about 12 minutes.
  4. Step 4 Season with salt and pepper. Add meatballs to sauce. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer until meatballs are cooked through, about 15 minutes.

  5. Step 5 Meanwhile, cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite.
  6. Step 6 Drain pasta; return to pot. Add some of sauce to pasta and toss to coat. Transfer pasta to bowl; top with meatballs and remaining sauce.
