Steamed jasmine rice with jasmine or basmati rice, water, salt. To make this steamed jasmine rice for 1 persons you will need 5 min for preaparation and 40 min for baking.

Steamed jasmine rice with thai jasmine rice, cold water.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Thai jasmine rice
  • 1 cup cold water

Topping

  • 2 1/4 cups reduced-fat Bisquick
  • 3/4 cup skim milk

For fish:

  • 2 skinned Chilean sea bass, monkfish, or halibut fillets
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. olive oil

For sauce:

  • 1/2 cup fat-free chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsps. molasses
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch

Directions

  1. Step 1 Add 1 inch cold water to a kettle fitted with a metal rack or trivet and deep enough to hold a 1-quart metal bowl.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups jasmine rice
  • 3 1/2 cups water

For marinated chicken:

  • 2 3/4 cups water
  • 12 dried Chinese black mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 2 tsps. kosher salt, divided
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 cup sliced peeled ginger
  • 1/4 cup Shaoxing wine or dry Oloroso Sherry
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 2 small chickens , each cut into 6 pcs.

For cooking chicken and sauce:

  • Accompaniment: steamed jasmine rice

  • Equipment: an electric coffee/spice grinder

Optional:

  • 1 tsp. white-truffle oil

To serve:

  • Special equipment: stand mixer with paddle attachment and dough hook, pasta machine or rolling pin, pizza stone or heavy baking sheet, food processor
