Triple vanilla cupcakes with butter (unsalted), unrefined golden caster sugar, egg(s) (free range), self-raising white flour, vanilla extract, butter (unsalted), unrefined golden icing sugar, vanilla bean paste, vanilla pods. To make this triple vanilla cupcakes for 12 persons you will need 10 mins for preparation and 25 mins for baking.


For the cupcakes

  • 250g Butter (unsalted)
  • 250g Unrefined golden caster sugar
  • 4 Egg(s) (free range)
  • 250g Self-raising white flour
  • 2tsp Vanilla extract

For the buttercream

  • 250g Butter (unsalted)
  • 500g Unrefined golden icing sugar
  • 1tbsp Vanilla bean paste
  • Vanilla pods


  1. Step 1Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas mark 4), and line a tin with 12 cupcake cases.
  2. Step 2In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.

  4. Step 4Carefully fold in the flour then spoon into the cupcakes cases, until they are about 2/3 full.

  6. Step 6Leave to cool completely on a cooling wire.
  7. Step 7To make the buttercream beat together the butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy then add the vanilla bean paste and mix until well distributed.
