Uncooked cranberry, orange, and ginger relish with chopped peeled fresh gingerroot, large navel orange, including the rind, chopped, a 12-ounce bag of cranberries, picked over, sugar, or to taste.

- 3/4 cup sugar, or to taste
Syrup
- 2 cups sweet orange Muscat wine
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 star anise
- 1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
Fruit
- Frozen vanilla yogurt or ice cream

- 2 pints vanilla bean ice cream

- Step 1 In a food processor chop fine the gingerroot and the orange, add the cranberries, and pulse the motor until the berries are chopped fine.
