  1. Step 1 While milk heats, whisk together yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a heatproof bowl until smooth.

Vanilla custard with double cream, vanilla bean paste, unrefined golden caster sugar, egg yolk(s) (free range), cornflour. To make this vanilla custard for 4 persons you will need 10 mins for preparation and for baking.

  • 275ml Double cream
  • 1tbsp Vanilla bean paste
  • 10g Unrefined golden caster sugar
  • 3 Egg yolk(s) (free range)
  • 1tsp Cornflour

Directions

  1. Step 1Heat the cream in a saucepan over a medium heat until it reaches boiling point.

  4. Step 4Add the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining cream and heat gently for 1-2 minutes, continuously stirring until the custard begins to thicken.
  5. Step 5Once thickened, serve the custard immediately or allow to cool and chill in the fridge,  if serving the custard cold.
